90 Day: Hunt for Love‘s romantic connections are on the rise — and so are tensions among friends Colt Johnson and Usman Umar as they both start to fall for Cortney Reardanz on an all-new episode.
“OK, I have a question for you. I see you getting close to Cortney a little bit. What’s going on?” Usman, 36, asks Colt, 40, in Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek at the Monday, June 16, episode, as they discuss their budding romances with Cortney, 34.
Colt innocently tells Usman his true feelings for Cortney, revealing, “We kind of hit it off. Like, I think she’s a really cool girl. I actually like her. I think we could date.”
Usman, however, isn’t a fan of the idea since he also likes Cortney. “Bro, you know that’s my girl, right?” Usman asks, to which Colt responds, “She didn’t say that.”
Usman claims Cortney wouldn’t have told Colt about their connection because it’s only been “two, three days here.” Colt quips, “You guys have a promise ring?” hinting that he’s not worried about Usman allegedly calling dibs.
“No, I like her. Like I would do anything in order to win her heart,” Usman fires back, before warning Colt, “I don’t think you should compete with me because you [will] lose.”
There is an awkward silence between the pair as Colt laughs to himself on the beach and Usman stares back at him.

“I’m not hating on him. I’m just saying that it’s a slap [in the face] for me to compete with Colt,” Usman tells the cameras, before throwing shade at his costar. “Because not any sensible, smart lady will look at me and look at Colt and pick him over me.”
Usman argues that “knowledge wise, smart wise, hardworking wise” he’s superior to Colt. “So, what does he bring to the table?” Usman asks the audience. “I mean, you can be funny, but being funny is not enough for the relationship.”

90 Day: Hunt for Love follows eight singles from the 90 Day universe as they go on a quest in Mexico for love with a few fresh faces.
Colt was introduced to fans during season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé, which aired in 2018. The following year, he starred on season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? in 2019 and returned to the spinoff for season 5, which aired in 2020. He has been married multiple times but is still hopeful he can find love on reality TV.
“I’m recently divorced, so I really just wanted to try something new and just put myself out there,” Colt exclusively told Us at Us Weekly’s 90 Day: Hunt for Love party in New York City last month. “I’m feeling pretty good. Got some new glasses. I feel pretty good.”
Usman, meanwhile, began his TLC journey on season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, which aired in 2020. He returned for season 5 of the series the following year before joining 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? for season 7 in 2022.
Earlier this season on 90 Day: Hunt for Love, fans witnessed Usman attempt to flirt with one of the new girls named Kassidy, explaining that people call him Soulja Boy, but “not the American rapper.” During the June 2 episode he said, “I preach about love, beautiful women” and then started to sing.
“I’m like, ‘You don’t even say you like her or you’re cute. Just straight I love you,’” Cortney said in a confessional after hearing the tune. “If this is Usman’s idea about how he falls in love, I’m worried about how he approaches sex. Is he just like, ‘Hi I’m Usman, can I stick it in you?’”
