Steve Burton’s ex-wife, Sheree Burton, revealed the General Hospital star’s alleged six-figure monthly income in their fight over custody, Us Weekly can exclusively report.
Back in April, Sheree demanded the soap star, 54, pay her $25,000 to help cover the bills racked up fighting Steve in court. The request was recently dropped, according to Steve’s lawyer, but the filing revealed interesting details.
Sheree, 47, explained, “[Steve] is an actor and earns income from other business ventures. He earns approximately $100,000 per month.”
She continued, “On the other hand, I am self-employed as a fitness coach. My expenses from my business exceed my income. Therefore, my only source of income at this time is from interest and dividends from what remains of my half of the community property estate, which I invested.”

“I am currently using that income as well as a portion of the capital to pay for all my living expenses with our daughters, as well as with my new husband and our children together,” she said.
Steve and Sheree welcomed three children together during their marriage: son Jack, born in 2006, daughter Brooklyn, born in 2014, and daughter Makena, born in 2003.
Steve was ordered to pay $12,500 per month in child support after their divorce, but the amount was lowered after two of the children turned 18.

The exes’ youngest daughter, Brooklyn, is their only remaining minor child. Sheree was not awarded spousal support in the divorce deal. Sheree submitted an income and expense declaration detailing her financial situation.

Sheree said she earns around $4,000 per month from the interest and dividends, but she has no other income. She said she has $10,000 in the bank and another $600,000 in stocks and bonds, while the value of her personal property was unknown.
Sheree said her 53-year-old husband, Jason, and his two children live with her and two of her children. She said Jason pays for some of the household expenses, which include $14,750 for rent, $200 for health care, $3,500 on groceries, $1,000 on eating out, $400 on cell phones, $500 on laundry, $1,000 on clothes, $1,500 on entertainment and gifts, $2,000 on car expenses, and $3,000 into savings and investments for a grand total of $28,2350 per month.
She said her debts include $10,520 on a credit card, another $12,000 on a second credit card, $1,500 for furniture purchased, and another $1,000 owed on a Nordstrom credit card.

Sheree accused Steve of dragging out the case, which led to her legal bills growing. Back in 2022, Steve filed for divorce from Sheree after 23 years of marriage. The exes wed in 1999 and split the same year they filed for divorce.
The divorce came weeks after Steve announced Sheree was pregnant with a baby that was not his. The duo settled in December 2023, agreeing to split custody.
Recently, Steve demanded that the court modify the divorce deal to allow him more time with their daughter. Sheree and Steve have been going back and forth for months on the issue.
In a recent filing, Steve, who married Michelle Lundstrom in May, slammed Sheree for her alleged affair.
Steve wrote, “Sheree has seemingly forgotten how our family ended up in his situation. It was Sheree who had an extramarital affair, became pregnant with another man’s child, and immediately moved him into her home after our separation, without informing me she would be doing so.”

Steve added, “The sudden change in family dynamics had to be incredibly confusing and traumatizing for Brooklyn, who was only seven years old at the time.”
Steve’s lawyer Sarah C. Clark previously told In Touch, “Steve maintains that Sheree’s allegations are categorically false. He has, and will continue to, act in the best interests of the parties’ daughter, Brooklyn, which includes ensuring there is frequent and continuing contact with both parents. On May 12, 2025, the Court heard the evidence loud and clear and granted Steve additional custodial time with Brooklyn that Sheree was unwilling to provide.”
