As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Borussia Dortmund have submitted an offer for Manchester City youngster Claudio Echeverri.
BVB have officially submitted a one-year loan deal with an option-to-buy clause at the end of the season.
The 19-year-old playmaker is currently contracted with City until 2028 and spent last season on loan at his former club River Plate in Argentina.
Now back with City, it’s unlikely that Echeverri will see many minutes in the Premier League as Pep Guardiola’s side looks to regain the title.
It’s unclear if City would prefer a straight loan without an option-to-buy clause.
Currently, the attacking midfielder’s transfer market value stands at €18m, as per TransferMarkt.
Should Echeverri join Dortmund, he’ll be guaranteed plenty of playing time in a top league. With BVB’s knack for producing and developing young talent, Echeverri could be tempted by the offer.
Niko Kovač’s side kickstart their Bundesliga campaign this Saturday when they travel to Hamburg to face St. Pauli.
