Kicker reports that Bayer Leverkusen have agreed to personal terms with transfer target Loïc Badé. The German publication reports that the French international is very keen on moving to the Bundesliga. There’s still a potential snag. Badé’s La Liga outfit have also received a €30m offer for the centre-back from Bournemouth.

Such news counts as something of a bombshell as Leverkusen are currently debating whether or not to allow Bournemouth to purchase their own attacker Amine Adli. Germany’s red company team wants at least €30m for Adli. Everything can either fall into place neatly or completely fall apart.

Badé receives the chance to play Champions League football with Leverkusen and further enhance his French national team prospects. The 25-year-old actually earned his first French senior team cap against Germany in a June Nations League fixture.

Leverkusen got the start of competitive play in the 2025/26 rolling with a 0-4 away win against SG Sonnenhof Großaspach in the opening round of the DFB Pokal on Friday night.

New B04 head coach Erik ten Hag has been running a 3-4-3 system that already features three qualified centre-backs. Leverkusen still need a squad far larger than 25 players to compete internationally.
