The transfer saga of Nicolas Jackson’s departure from Chelsea to Bayern Munich has reached its final stage, according to Bild and others.
Two weeks after Jackson reportedly requested to leave west London, Bayern Munich have agreed personal times with Jackson
The Senegalese striker still has a contract in London until 2033 but Bayern Munich has moved quickly to secure the Chelsea forward after their initial target, Nick Woltemade failed to come to fruition.
Talks between Chelsea and Bayern Munich are now underway, with Chelsea looking to secure an obligation to buy.
Jackson has not featured in the Premier League this season for Chelsea.
Jackson’s management is currently in London to help finalise the deal and could travel to Germany as earlier as tomorrow.
Jackson will become Bayern Munich’s second transfer from the Premier League this summer after Luis Diaz signed from Liverpool.
However, Jackson will have to compete for his place.
Bayern Munich kicked off their Bundesliga campaign in style on Friday as they dismantled RB Leipzig 6-0, including a 14 minute hat-trick by Harry Kane.
With Head Coach, Vincent Kompany preferring a five-man midfield, led by Kane as a sole forward, Jackson may have to bide his time.
However, Jackson will not be daunted.
The 24-year-old has scored 39 goals across his previous three league campaigns with Chelsea and Villarreal, as well as 24 assists.
Jackson’s strengths are his versatility and will surely find a way into this star-studded Bayern Munich team.
Whilst the move will be to late for Bayern’s DFB Pokal game against Wehen on Tuesday night, Jackson could feature away at Augsburg this weekend.
