SONOR Drums, one of the oldest and most respected drum manufacturers in the world, has built its reputation on precision, craftsmanship, and innovation. Founded in Germany in 1875, the company has remained a gold standard for serious drummers across genres—and now, they’re welcoming a new member to their artist roster: Dena Tauriello.

A statement from the company reveals that Tauriello is “an accomplished drummer, educator, and Broadway mainstay,” whose career has spanned “rock arenas, recording studios, and some of Broadway’s biggest productions.” Her addition to the SONOR family brings decades of experience and versatility to the brand.

Currently, Tauriello holds the drum chair for the critically acclaimed and GRAMMY-nominated Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors. She also serves as a sub for the Broadway productions of Hamilton and Six, covering both drum and percussion duties. Past credits include Head Over Heels, Kristin Chenoweth: For the Girls, Beetlejuice, The Cher Show, and The Heart of Rock and Roll, among others—not to mention a televised appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

When it came to choosing a drum partner for this next phase of her career, the decision was clear. “Broadway pits require precision and consistency not just in terms of performance, but also in terms of sound,” says Tauriello. “The feel, tone, look and craftsmanship of SONOR drums are unmatched and will help me deliver night after night.” Her go-to kits: the SONOR Vintage and ProLite series.

Before her turn on Broadway, Tauriello spent nearly 20 years touring and recording with the all-female rock band Antigone Rising. Signed to Lava/Atlantic Records, the group moved more than 250,000 copies of their debut album From the Ground Up through a notable collaboration with Starbucks’ Hear Music series. Their resume includes appearances on The Today Show, The Tonight Show, VH1, and two tours as Arts Envoys for the U.S. State Department in Israel, Palestine, and Vietnam.

Tauriello’s adaptability has made her a sought-after collaborator across genres, with credits alongside Josh Groban, Jennifer Holliday, Nicole Scherzinger, Vanessa Williams, Audra McDonald, Lea Salonga, and Rob Thomas. Her work has also been featured in Modern Drummer and the drumming culture book Sticks ‘n’ Skins.

Beyond the stage, she continues to advocate for the power of rhythm through her work as a clinician, freelance writer, and Certified Drum Therapist with the D.A.D. (Drums and Disabilities) program—proving that her impact resonates far beyond the final note.
