The Associated Press announced the first- and second-team All-American rosters for the upcoming college football season. The Clemson Tigers lead all teams in player selections with five representatives: two first-team All-Americans and three second-teamers.

Clemson’s first-teamers include quarterback Cade Klubnik and defensive tackle Peter Woods. Offensive tackle Blake Miller, wideout Antonio Williams, and edge rusher T.J. Parker are the Tigers’ second-team All-Americans.

Both Penn State and Texas lead the country in first-team All-American selections with three apiece. The Nittany Lions are led by running back Nicholas Singleton, guard Olaivavega Ioane, and defensive tackle Zane Durant. Also, running back Kaytron Allen earned Second-Team honors as an all-purpose player. Meanwhile, the Longhorns are anchored by a trio of first-team All-American defenders: linebacker Anthony Hill Jr., defensive end Colin Simmons, and defensive back Michael Taaffe.

A total of 27 schools were represented in the first- and second-team rosters. 12 schools had multiple player selections, including Indiana, Clemson, Texas, Penn State, LSU, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Texas A&M, Oregon, Georgia, South Carolina, Notre Dame, and Alabama.
