Sky Germany report that Galatasaray have submitted an opening offer to Porto for Portuguese goalkeeper Diogo Costa (25). The Süper Lig club have offered €20m plus bonuses, but Manchester City’s Ederson remains their number one priority this summer.
Although Ederson missed Manchester City’s opening game of the season against Wolves on Saturday with James Trafford the club’s new number one, Galatasaray are yet to find an agreement with the Premier League club. As such, Galatasaray are now seeking alternatives with Costa a potential candidate should a move for Ederson collapse.
After playing 43 games across all competitions for Porto last season and an appearance in the league already this campaign, it’s likely that Galatasaray’s €20m offer falls short of the Dragões’ valuation, with the player currently valued at €40m by Transfermarkt. The 25-year-old also has a contract until 2027 while the Liga Portugal side are in no rush to sell.
