Warning: SPOILERS ahead for Poker Face season 2, episode 10!Poker Face season 2, episode 10 may have focused on its crime of the week, but I’m worried about one character’s fate based on a quick throwaway line. The latest episode of Poker Face season 2 saw Charlie investigating the death of Rodney, an attendant at the Brick House Gym she’d befriended. However, she’s convinced it was a genuine accident.

It’s not until her new friend, Alex, steps in with suspicious observations about his death that implicate the gym owner, Brick, that Charlie starts to listen. Together, the pair manage to bring the new character in Poker Face to justice. Even so, Poker Face season 2, episode 10 also features one line that could doom their friendship going forward.

She Offhandedly Mentions Something That Could Kill Her Later

While working out at the gym with Charlie, one of their first activities as new friends, Alex reveals plenty about herself during a game of Two Truths and a Lie. Everything she says ends up being true, aligning with a philosophy about truth she reveals later. One of these truths, though, is that she’s “deathly allergic” to cinnamon.

Poker Face Season 2 Just Gave Us The Show’s Most Tragic Villain Yet

Poker Face season 2, episode 7 just gave us the show’s most tragic villain yet, offering up another unique case for the detective TV series.

She continues to be a core part of the story as the episode carries on. After Brick traps Charlie in a sauna, trying to kill her with the heat, Alex arrives to save her. She later breaks Poker Face‘s formula by hanging out with her at the end of the episode, signaling the pair are going to become long-term friends.

With two episodes left in season 2, there’s ample time for tragedy to strike, seeing Charlie lose someone she’s grown close to not long after meeting them.

However, the cinnamon line could be setting up Alex’s untimely death during an upcoming case. With two episodes left in season 2, there’s ample time for tragedy to strike, seeing Charlie lose someone she’s grown close to not long after meeting them. If this happened, it wouldn’t be the first time the show’s put her in this position.

Will Alex Actually Die In Poker Face Season 2?

There’s Already A Precedent Set For What Might Happen To Her

Everyone Charlie’s grown close to in the show has often wound up dead. This includes her best friend, Natalie, at the start of the series, and Bill in Poker Face season 2, episode 7, who she formed a romantic connection with. Because of these close relationships ending in death, her friendship with Alex could end up suffering the same fate.

However, other characters she’s grown close to have survived, such as Manny in season 2, episode 8. Alex is also her first multi-episode connection, meaning the cinnamon line might be a red herring to make it seem like she’s doomed. Poker Face could turn these expectations around to give Charlie a long-lasting friendship.
