Lil Nas X on Monday called his naked confrontation with police “terrifying,” his first comments since the incident in Los Angeles last week.
The rapper has pleaded not guilty to four felony charges accusing him of injuring officers when he was found naked on Ventura Boulevard.
“Your girl is gonna be OK, all OK,” said the rapper on a video on his Instagram Stories. “She’s gonna be all right. She’s gonna be all right.”
The artist donned a chartreuse colored sweater and spoke directly into the camera in his first public comments since the arrest.
“That was terrifying, that was terrifying, that was a terrifying last four days,” he said in the brief 30-second address. “But your girl’s gonna be all right.”
The rapper, whose legal name is Montero Lamar Hill, charged at officers when they approached him early Thursday, officials said. Officers said they were responding to reports of a naked man in the area.
