As the iconic comedy No Entry completes 20 years, director Anees Bazmee has shared his thoughts on its highly anticipated sequel, No Entry Mein Entry. In a recent interview, the filmmaker got candid about the film’s new cast, admitting his disappointment over not being able to bring back the original stars while also expressing his excitement for the new trio.
Pain Over Missing The Original Cast
For years, fans have eagerly awaited the return of Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan in their beloved roles. However, the sequel will feature a completely new lineup. Bazmee confessed that this change was not easy for him. “The pain of not having Anil, Salman, Fardeen, Lara and everyone in the sequel will remain,” he stated.
He explained that the casting changes were due to circumstances beyond his control, suggesting that every film has its own destiny. “When a film happens, it comes with its own kundali. No matter how much you plan, destiny plays a huge role,” Bazmee said, making it clear that the absence of the original cast is a bittersweet reality for him.

Confidence In The New Trio
Despite the emotional attachment to the original actors, Anees Bazmee is very optimistic about the new cast, which includes Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh. He believes their real-life chemistry will be a major advantage for the comedy film.
“Luckily, Arjun and Varun are very good friends,” Bazmee noted, adding that their natural bond will look authentic on screen. “The camera catches the truth and lies very promptly.” He also praised Diljit Dosanjh, calling him a “very cool guy,” and expressed his confidence that the three actors have a “great tuning with each other.”
Promising A Bigger And Better Comedy
Anees Bazmee also revealed that he is extremely happy with the script for No Entry Mein Entry. He shared that he laughed even more while writing the sequel compared to the original. He feels that his own personal growth over the last 20 years has helped him understand relationships better, which will reflect in the film’s story. He promised that he hopes to “make a bigger, better, and more enjoyable film than part 1.”
