Lisa Hochstein is trying to find the positives as she splits custody with ex-husband Lenny Hochstein.

“The biggest adjustment was not seeing my kids for half of their lives because really that’s what it is,” Lisa, 42, exclusively shared with Us Weekly when launching her SplitWell divorce support app on Tuesday, June 10. “I try to make the most out of my time with them.”

In a twist of fate, The Real Housewives of Miami star said her current situation “probably has made me a better mom.”

“When they’re with me, I dedicate all of my free time and their free time with me,” she continued. “It just makes you value that time that you have with them and make the most of it.”

Lisa Hochstein is not impressed with Larsa Pippen’s comments about her boyfriend, Jody Glidden. “I think it was very undeserving. I think it was maybe a little calculated,” Lisa, 42, exclusively shared with Us Weekly as she launched her AI-powered divorce support app titled SplitWell. “I don’t think Jody’s been anything but nice and kind […]

In May 2022, Lenny, 58, officially filed for divorce from Lisa after 12 years of marriage. The couple — who share son Logan, 10, and daughter Elle, 5 — finalized their divorce in November 2024.

While Lenny and his ex-wife still struggle with coparenting successfully, Lisa would love to one day have a strong friendship again.

“I personally try to do my best to communicate as much as possible,” she said. “The kids were two and six when the divorce began, and now they’re five and a half and 10. It’s just been such a journey, such an adjustment for all of us. I really try to do everything in the best interests of the kids, and that’s all I can do. I can only control myself.”

Since her split from Lenny, Lisa has received a second chance at love with boyfriend Jody Glidden. The pair’s love story will continue to play out on The Real Housewives of Miami, which kicked off season 7 on Wednesday, June 11.

Although Jody has been a strong support system through the divorce, Lisa is hopeful her new SplitWell app will help make communicating with her ex-husband easier.

“We communicate by text and sometimes it goes well, but sometimes it doesn’t,” she admitted to Us. “We’re butting heads, but I have my little tool here. SplitWell has been helping me tremendously, and it really helps me de-escalate conflicts. Before I send something, I run it through my app and it kind of sends it in a lighter tone, if you will.”

SplitWell is an AI-powered divorce support app created to help users better understand their rights, communicate with their ex more calmly and find lawyers they can trust.

After Lisa’s personal experience in divorce court, she hopes the new app will make it easier for the next individual facing a split.

“I really hope that this will change divorce,” she said. “That is the goal. I want it to make divorce easier and not just help women. I want it to help everybody, help anyone going through this.”

The Real Housewives of Miami airs on Bravo Wednesday at 9 p.m ET. Stream old episodes anytime on Peacock.
